Not just a race, but a high alpine adventure.
"Worlds toughest 100 Mile mountain bike race" The Endurance 100 was selected by Cannondale to launch New line of XC bikes in 2005. In addition to the marquee 100 Mile solo race, this event will offer both 50 mile and 100 K options for racers not ready to race the 100 Mile distance. This event is the cornerstone of The E 100 Series.
The 100 mile course is the most physically and mentally challenging race in the series and has gained a reputation for being the TOUGHEST 100 mile endurance race in the country. The E100 course winds its way through 100 miles of single track trails within the Wasatch mountain range at elevation ranging from 7,000 ft. up to 10,000 ft.. The race course has a total elevation gain of over 18,000 feet.

The event has been gaining greater momentum with endurance racers all over the country. The Endurance 100 SOLO event is one of six 100 Mile races in the very exciting US National Ultra Endurance MTB series with events in Ohio, Utah, Michigan, Colorado, Pennsylvania and Virginia. The series is already gaining huge national attention and will bring the best national and international XC racers to the series. There will be a cap of 499 participants for each event so get your registration in early!

Race course

Due to increasing construction activity in the Park City and through ski resorts the racecourse has been change from previous years.

In addition to100-mile solo race, this event will offer both 50 mile and 100K options to racers not ready to race the 100-mile distance.
Grand Total of The E 100 racecourse for 2007 is 99.5 miles of rolling alpine singletrack trail with a total gain of 16’720 ft.

*50 Mile Solo racecourse consists of Stage 1, Stage 2 and Stage 3(11 mile loop) at total of 54.5 Miles with an elevation gain of 8’590 ft.
*100 K Solo racecourse consists of Stage 1, 2, Stage 3 (11 mile loop) and Stage 4 at total of 71.5 Miles with an elevation gain of 12’655 ft.

Please study The Endurance 100 TOPO maps and directions.
We will highly recommend to have set of maps with you during the race.
We did collect GPS data using the Garmin Edge 305 and uploaded it to our race course page and MotionBased.com.

REGISTRATION

Internet Registration Only with Active.com There will be NO on site or Race Day registration. Online Registration Closes with Active.com on August 24, 2007 at 1:00 PM Mountain Time.

PRE-RACE Information/CHECK-IN

 

RACER Check-IN will start on August 24th at 4:00 PM till 6:30 PM at The Yarrow Resort Hotel and Conference Center. ALL RACERS MUST CHECK IN AT THIS TIME!
The Yarrow hotel is located in the heart of Park City and, as an E100 sponsor; they are offering a SPECIAL Rate to E100 participants and their guests. For reservations at the Yarrow Hotel go to: www.yarrowresort.com; Click on: Reservations; Click on: Promotional Rates.

MANDATORY pre-race meeting will start at 7:00 PM at The Yarrow Hotel This meeting is MANDATORY for all Solo racers - NO EXCEPTIONS!

Note about age requirements:
For all solo racers minimum age is 18 years old at the day of the race.

Note about Raffle tickets:
One Raffle ticket is provided free with registration. Additional Raffle tickets at $5.00 each can be purchased at racer check-in and at the Awards Ceremony.

RACE DAY INFORMATION

Saturday, August 25 - The Race will start exactly at 6:00 am at the Lover parking lot by First Time lift at Park City Mountain Resort.

CAR PARKING for racers and support crew.
Start/Finish will be at Lower parking lot by First Time lift at Park City Mountain Resort.
Please be sure to arrive early to have time to unload your bicycle, park the car, get your drop bag into the appropriate vehicle and get ready for the race.

DROP BAG service
There will be DROP BAG service track waiting at Lower parking lot by First Time lift at Park City Mountain Resort to picking up your drop bags or coolers for support stations at The Canyons. After the First stage we will bring them back to PC MR station.
Please mark your bags or coolers with your name, Race BIB numbers and bright graphics so you will be able to recognize them QUICKLY.
FREE DROP BAG service will be open from 4:30 AM till the START.

The Race will start exactly at 6:00 am.

Attention 50 MILE and/or 100K racers:
*50 Mile Solo racecourse consists of Stage 1, Stage 2 and Stage 3(11 mile loop) at total of 54.5 Miles with an elevation gain of 8’590 ft.
*100 K Solo racecourse consists of Stage 1, 2, Stage 3 (11 mile loop) and Stage 4 at total of 71.5 Miles with an elevation gain of 12’655 ft.

Cut-off Times

There will be safety cut-off times at each support station:
Support Station #1 at The Canyons –cut-off time at 9:15 am.
Support Station #2 – no cut-off.
Support Station #3 – no cut-off.
Support Station #4 – no cut-off.
Support Station #5 - cut-off time at 6:30 pm.
After 5:00 pm – After this time ALL racers leaving for
Stage # 5 must have night riding equipment / MANDATORY.

NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.

Important: Medical professionals at Support Station have the authority to stop a racer and keep them at the station to rest, refuel or re hydrate for as long as the medical team deems necessary. The racer may be determined to be unfit to continue.
FINAL JUDGEMENT ALWAYS RESTS WITH RACE MANAGEMENT.

The FINISH Station will be open until the last racer of The Endurance 100 will finish the race.
We will have free cold Budweiser Beer and Volker Bakery great bread or pizza for racers at the finish line at PC MR.

 

POST EVENTS FESTIVITIES

Sunday, August 26 at 9:00 AM at the The Yarrow Resort Hotel and Conference Center.

Award Ceremony and Raffle
Awards will be presented to the top three male and female overall winners in each solo race as well as for the top three teams at Team Relay category.
Male and female age groups categories: M2 & F2 age 18 to 29; M3 & F3 age 30 to 39; M4 & F4 age 40 to 49; M5 & F5 age 50 and up.
There will be overall awards for Single Speed riders.

Overall Point Winners for The E100 series will be celebrated with special Award package and Custom Event Trophy.

After the Awards Ceremony we will have the Raffle Event.

Additional raffle tickets at $5.00 each can be purchased at racer check-in and at the Awards Ceremony.
